Who We Are

Since 2002, the Okanagan Foster Parents Association (OFPA) has supported Foster Caregivers in the Okanagan region by providing education, resources, connections and more. OFPA works in collaboration with the Ministry of Children and Family Development with the commitment in strengthening our communities to make a positive difference for future generations.

Vision Statement.

We provide ongoing support and education to empower Foster Caregivers, equipping them to address the diverse, evolving needs of children and youth in their care with compassion and skill.

Mission Statement.

We support Foster Caregivers with education, resources, and networking, partnering with the Ministry of Children and Family Development to meet the evolving needs of caregivers and children/youth.

Territorial Recognition.

The Okanagan Foster Parents Association gratefully operates on the traditional, unceded territories of the syilx, secwépemc, and Métis peoples, valuing our relationship with Indigenous neighbours.
