Who We Are

Since 2002, the Okanagan Foster Parents Association (OFPA) has supported Foster Caregivers in the Okanagan region with education, resources, and support. Partnering with the Ministry of Children and Family Development, we empower caregivers to meet the evolving needs of children and youth in their care.

Vision Statement.

We provide ongoing support and education to empower Foster Caregivers, equipping them to address the diverse, evolving needs of children and youth in their care with compassion and skill.

Mission Statement.

We support foster caregivers with education, resources, and networking, partnering with the Ministry of Children and Family Development to meet the evolving needs of caregivers and children/youth.

Territorial Recognition.

The Okanagan Foster Parents Association gratefully operates on the traditional, unceded territories of the syilx, secwépemc, and Métis peoples, valuing our relationship with Indigenous neighbours.
