Become a Foster Caregiver

Help Make a Difference Today!

The Okanagan, Similkameen, and Shuswap have opportunities for individuals and families to make a positive impact on children and youth by becoming Foster Parents. Join us in addressing the current shortage of foster homes in these regions and help create a brighter future for children in need.

Some requirements in becoming a Foster Caregiver are:

  • Over the age of 19
  • Provide temporary care
  • Have a safe home with adequate space
  • Commitment to train, educate and improve your skills
  • Supportive of a child’s need to maintain family and cultural connections.
  • Follow Ministry standards
